I am learning as I grow older that many of the lessons I go through in life will be similar to those of other people and often when we are able to share our journeys, we are able to be a help and a blessing to people. My primary goal for this page is to do that...be a blessing and an encouragement to other people.
My heart's prayer is that the lessons God has for me to learn conveyed by the words penned here will help you to see that you are not alone. There are others who face the same dark hours, the same burdens, the same heartaches and there is Someone who cares and His name is Jesus. He has always been my Guiding Light through the storms of life and He has always been there through the joys as well.
There is a song entitled "All Along" that describes our journey through life and reminds us Who it is that guides each step of the way.
Time just drifts away and as I look back on the years,
memories of happiness and bitter tears;
Through it all there was a common thread that cannot be ignored,
You were there teaching me to be your servant Lord
All along You have been guiding me,
shaping my life to be a beautiful song;
All along You've led me through the things
that You knew would make me strong,
Your love has been there all along.
Every joy and pain had a reason of its own,
now I realize that I was not alone;
The changing seasons of my life were not left up to chance,
Lord, I know You were working to fulfill Your perfect plan.
Tomorrow when I turn around and I look back at today,
I will understand your purpose and my thankful heart will say.....
All along You have been guiding me,
shaping my life to be a beautiful song;
All along You've led me through the things
that You knew would make me strong
Your love has been there all along,
all along....Your love has been there ALL ALONG.
God's Word reminds us in Hebrews 13:5, "...for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee," that we are never alone. We see in Psalm 48:14 the Bible says, "For this God is our God forever and ever; he will be our guide even unto death." These are such encouraging words for us, as Christians.
So, it has begun...the birth of a blog. I pray that it will encourage you as it does me. I pray that we can learn together to follow His guiding light and to always remember that He will be our guide, if only we are willing to follow.
From My Heart, Robyn
